Shipping Lead

Job Summary

  • Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping

  • Prepare paperwork for shipments, create mailing labels and shipping documents

  • Quality check products while picking and packing

  • Verify orders are filled accurately and correctly

  • Ensure correct labeling and packing techniques are used/applied for outgoing merchandise

  • Collaborate and communicate with customer service representatives, QC, production, sales team, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products to ensure shipments are completed as scheduled 

  • Track shipments and resolve problems with FedEx/Customs

  • Coordinate with delivery drivers to pick up palletized shipments (skids)

  • Notify customer service on any schedule or order changes

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

  • Keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments

  • Position may also include other tasks as required by Spyder Controls

Compensation

Annual compensation will range from $40,000 to $58,000 depending on applicant experience, credentials, and performance.

Applicant Qualifications

  • Legally entitled to live and work in Canada

  • Must be proficient in general computer skills

  • Must be able to able to work on your feet and lift boxes up to ~50 pounds

  • Passionate about attention to detail and on-time completions

  • Remain composed under pressure, a calm and patient demeanor when dealing with contacts

  • Maintains regular schedule with occasional extended hours

  • Enjoys people and interaction in a professional environment

  • Self-motivated to initiate and complete tasks and solve problems

Desirable (But Not Required) Attributes Include

  • Shipping or warehouse experience
